OE-Mail Recovery is a tool for repairing Outlook Express folders if they are damaged or corrupted. OE-Mail Recovery extracts and saves e-mails from .dbx files in which Microsoft Outlook Express stores messages and folders on your local drive. If you've got any Outlook Express folders that won't open, then this could help you recover precious information.
The program works by reading .dbx files and identifies e-mails stored in them. The recovered messages can be viewed and saved as message files in the .eml format. They can also be opened by Microsoft Outlook Express and easily moved/copied into new folders. The interface presents rescued mail clearly and a handy wizard takes you through everything in just 3 steps. However, you may find that it doesn't rescue every damaged file - it seems to work only on those that have superficial damage but it's worth a shot if you've lost e-mails.
